BAFTAs 2016: Brie Larson Wins Best Actress Award

Brie Larson earned the best actress trophy at the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday for her portrayal of a Ma in critical darling Room.

Larson wasn’t available to attend the BAFTAs as she is currently filming in Australia.

Competing against other nominees like Alicia Vikander, Cate Blanchett, Maggie Smith and Saoirse Ronan, Larson has also won the Golden Globe for best actress in a motion picture, drama, as well as the trophy for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role at the SAG Awards. Next up, Larson is up for the best actress prize at this year’s Oscars.
